We are seeking a motivated and professional Licensing Support Officer to join a Shared Regulatory Services team serving Bridgend, Cardiff, and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils. This is a 12-month contract with the opportunity to work within a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Process and determine licence/permit/registration applications.
Assess applicant suitability to ensure public safety.
Provide specialist advice and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
Manage and process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records.
Maintain and update licensing databases and systems.
Assist with the development and improvement of licensing procedures.
Collate and present statistical information related to licensing activities.
Provide administrative support to the Licensing team.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Excellent administrative, organisational, and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience of working within a customer service environment (desirable)

Desirable Skills & Experience:
Knowledge of licensing legislation and regulations
Experience of using licensing databases and systems
