Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday (Times TBC)
Pay: PAYE: £12.18/hour | Limited/Umbrella: £14.93/hour + agency support benefits

What You’ll Do:

• Perform horticultural tasks to high standards, including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and clearing litter.
• Plant bedding plants, trees, and shrubs, and maintain shrub beds through pruning and division.
• Apply chemicals safely, set out sports facilities, and assist with soft landscaping (e.g., top-soiling, seeding).
• Operate and maintain vehicles, plant, and machinery, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Report equipment defects and prioritise safety for yourself and others while working across Newport.

What We’re Looking For:

• Skills: Proficiency in grass cutting, planting, and using horticultural machinery (e.g., mowers, strimmers).
• Qualities: Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently with a positive attitude.
• Experience: 2+ years in grounds maintenance OR NVQ Stage 1 in Horticulture (or equivalent).
• Qualifications: Full UK driving licence; knowledge of Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
• Bonus Points: Spraying certificate; experience with plant identification and soft landscaping.
