Installer – Telecare and Assistive Technology
Location: Warwick Road, Brynmawr, Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, NP23 4AR
Contract: 9th April 2025 – 11 Weeks (Ending Approx. 25th June 2025)
Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday (Times TBC)
Pay: £14.84–£18.34/hour + agency support benefits

What You’ll Do:
Arrange appointments, assess eligibility, and install Telecare equipment, demonstrating its use to service users and carers.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting issues, and replacing batteries or non-engineering components.
Maintain accurate stock records, clean, test, and recycle Telecare units, and manage faulty equipment dispatch.
Collaborate with Social Care and Health teams to meet customer needs efficiently and holistically.
Promote home safety and signpost service users to additional support, like falls assessments or assistive technology.

What We’re Looking For:
Skills: Strong communication, technical aptitude, and record-keeping abilities.
Qualities: Empathetic, proactive, and committed to supporting vulnerable adults.
Experience: Proven experience liaising with agencies (e.g., Housing, Social Services, Local Health Board).
Qualifications: A qualification in Social Care or significant recent experience delivering services to vulnerable adults.
Bonus Points: Knowledge of Health & Social Care agendas, the Disabilities Discrimination Act, and assistive technology.
