Earn competitive pay, flex your horticultural skills, and support a vibrant community—all with the backing of a leading Welsh agency.

Why This Role?
Green Impact: Elevate public parks and grounds with your gardening expertise, from lawns to seasonal beds.

Outdoor Life: Work hands-on with tools and machines, making a visible difference across the borough.
Welsh Pride: Contribute to Green Flag standards with a team rooted in Merthyr Tydfil's success.

What You’ll Do:
Perform grounds maintenance—grass cutting (pedestrian/ride-on mowers), strimming, and hedge trimming.
Maintain turf, mark football fields, and assist with landscape construction or arborist tasks.
Cultivate soil, plant beds, prune shrubs, and clear litter to keep spaces pristine.
Drive vehicles and trailers (if qualified), ensuring tools and equipment stay in top shape.
Work safely, uphold health and safety rules, and adapt to duties across Neighbourhood Services departments.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Minimum Level 2 City & Guilds in Horticulture (or equivalent).

Qualities: Self-motivated, adaptable, and keen to work outdoors as part of a team.
Experience: Gardening or grounds work preferred, but we’ll train the right attitude.
