Hours: 18.5 hours per week (flexible, including potential evenings/weekends)

Salary:
  • PAYE: £16.10 per hour
  • Umbrella: £20.92 per hour

Network Recruitment Wales is recruiting a Social Care Assistant Trainer to support the Social Care and Health Directorate in Monmouthshire during a period of increased demand. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your frontline social care experience and training expertise to make a real difference to the workforce and the people they support.
What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality learning and development opportunities to the social care workforce and partner organisations.
  • Support the development of essential skills, knowledge, and best practice across children’s and adults’ social care services.
  • Work closely with Workforce Development Officers and Training Organisers to plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes.
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of methods, including face-to-face, digital, and e-learning platforms.
  • Support social care staff with registration and re-registration requirements with Social Care Wales.
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance registers, and evaluation data.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all learning activities.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working in a frontline social care or health setting.
  • A recognised social care qualification (or equivalent).
  • A training qualification (e.g. Train the Trainer) or proven experience delivering training.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the confidence to engage diverse audiences.
  • Good IT and administrative skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to deliver training during evenings or weekends when required.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable.
Essential Requirements:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check (Children and Adults Barred Lists).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business-use insurance.
  • Criminal Convictions Declaration.
  • Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ references/work history.
