Job Advert: Children’s Social Worker 
Location: Brecon, Powys
Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks with likely extension)
Start Date: Monday 15 December 2025
Hours: 22 hours per week (flexible over 3–4 days – ideal for work/life balance)
Salary: PAYE: £28.35 per hour | Umbrella: £36.39 per hour
Area Covered: South Powys (Brecon)

The Role
A rare part-time qualified social work vacancy in the Care & Support team in beautiful South Powys.
You’ll carry a mixed caseload of children in need, child protection, and looked-after children – all based out of the modern Brecon office with hybrid working available after induction.What We Need

• Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, Degree or equivalent)
• Current Social Care Wales registration (essential)
• At least 2 years post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s services
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
• Full UK driving licence & own car (mileage paid)
