Are you passionate about helping people find stable homes? NRW People is excited to offer two rewarding temporary Assertive Move On Worker roles with Newport City Council, based at John Frost Square. Starting 27 October 2025, this 22-week position supports a one-off event/project, offering a chance to transform lives by moving single individuals from temporary accommodation to longer-term housing.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support single individuals in temporary accommodation, guiding them into longer-term housing with Housing Associations or Private Landlords.
  • Provide housing advice and homelessness services, working flexibly from the Central Library Museum with occasional accommodation visits and some home working.
  • Build relationships with clients, assess their needs, and coordinate moves to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with the Prevention & Support Team to deliver impactful outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A compassionate individual with experience in housing support or homelessness services, eager to make a positive impact.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work full-time (37 hours) across a hybrid schedule.
  • Willingness to travel to accommodation sites in Newport and work from the Central Library Museum as needed.
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Newport, NP20 1PA.
