Starting 20 October 2025, this 12-week position provides annual leave cover, offering a chance to support essential address and mapping services from the comfort of home.What You’ll Do:
- Maintain and update the Local Land & Property Gazetteer (LLPG) and Local Street Gazetteer (LSG), including address databases and new developments in line with statutory requirements.
- Liaise with Geoplace and Ordnance Survey to ensure compliance with standards, and create/plot new streets and developments.
- Support council staff with data plotting on maps, creating overlays (e.g., school catchment areas, boundaries, accident hotspots), and responding to enquiries from staff, the public, or statutory bodies.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and awareness of ongoing developments to support effective governance and partnerships.
- An experienced individual with essential knowledge of updating LLPG and using it to plot data/create maps.
- Strong IT skills, including GIS tools, with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work full-time (37 hours) remotely, with a proactive approach to self-motivated tasks.
- Candidates must be based in Wales for seamless collaboration.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
