Role and Responsibilities: As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for:

- Conducting detailed assessments of speech, language, and communication needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Providing direct therapy and support to clients.
- Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support client progress.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Traveling to community sites, including schools, homes, and clinics, to deliver services.
- A degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children, young people, and/or adults with speech, language, and communication needs.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a car, as the role involves visiting various community sites.
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
- Proficiency in managing complex cases and working with individuals with severe communication difficulties.
- Valid and active NMC Registration.
- Minimum of 6 months demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse with medical proficiency.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
